Lumped, Constrained Cable Modeling With Explicit State-Space Formulation Using An Elastic Version of Baumgarte Stabilization

چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a modeling approach for efficient simulation of slender structures, such as wires, cables and ropes. Lumped structural elements are connected using constraints. These solved explicitly, an elastic version Baumgarte stabilization. avoids singularities in the matrix inversions. The resulting explicit state-space formulation filters higher order dynamics can be simple numerical integration methods. Constraints demonstrated different aspects: Internal cable forces, one sliding along another contact between seabed. Also, initialization routine is presented rapid building interconnected geometries, ranging from cases offshore crane operations to in-sea equipment seismic cables. Two case studies illustrate effectiveness robustness proposed approach; first being test two connected, sinking cables, last larger demonstrating use library survey case.

State Constrained Feedback Stabilization

A standard finite dimensional nonlinear control system is considered, along with a state constraint set S and a target set Σ. It is proven that open loop S-constrained controllability to Σ implies closed loop Sconstrained controllability to the closed δ-neighborhood of Σ, for any specified δ > 0. When the target set Σ satisfies a small time S-constrained controllability condition, conclusions o...

An anisotropic elastic formulation for configurational forces in stress space

A new variational principle for an anisotropic elastic formulation in stress space is constructed, the Euler–Lagrange equations of which are the equations of compatibility (in terms of stress), the equilibrium equations and the traction boundary condition. Such a principle can be used to extend recently obtained configurational balance laws in stress space to the case of anisotropy.

State Space Modeling Using SAS

This article provides a brief introduction to the state space modeling capabilities in SAS, a well-known statistical software system. SAS provides state space modeling in a few different settings. SAS/ETS, the econometric and time series analysis module of the SAS system, contains many procedures that use state space models to analyze univariate and multivariate time series data. In addition, S...

Modeling and control of a cable-driven series elastic actuator

Series elastic actuators (SEA) are playing an increasingly important role in the fields of physical human-robot interaction. This paper focuses on the modeling and control of a cable-driven SEA. First, the scheme of the cable-driven SEA has been proposed, and a velocity controlled DC motor has been used as its power source. Based on this, the model of the cable-driven SEA has been built up. Fur...

Multi-threaded Explicit State Space Exploration with State Reconstruction

This article introduces a parallel state space exploration algorithm for shared memory multi-core architectures using state compression and state reconstruction to reduce memory consumption. The algorithm proceeds in rounds each consisting of three phases: concurrent expansion of open states, concurrent reduction of potentially new states, and concurrent duplicate detection. An important featur...
